Yes!  We have access to three great tools.

Current Index to Legal Periodicals (CILP)

The Current Index to Legal Periodicals (CILP) is a weekly, subject-categorized index of the most recent law journal issues. You can access CILP dating back to 1999 through this record: http://umil.iii.com/record=e1000447.

SmartCILP

If you want to be notified whenever a particular journal is published or whether a new article on a certain topic or subject comes out, create a SmartCILP profile. SmartCILP is a current awareness tool for legal scholars, providing tailored alerts delivered via email as a personalized supplement to the weekly CILP issue. All SmartCILP notifications include full-text linking to HeinOnline’s Law Journal Library.

To create a profile:

  1. Go to the link in the gold bar on this page: https://umil.iii.com/record=e1000447
  2. Select “Create New SmartCILP User.”
  3. Sign up using your umich email address.

You may change your profile at any time by returning to this page. For more information, see this page: https://help.heinonline.org/kb/creating-a-smartcilp-profile/

Social Sciences Resource Network (SSRN)
SSRN provides web and e-mail access to abstracts and working papers in licensed subject areas.

To subscribe to any of the SSRN networks and journals:

  1. Go to www.ssrn.com
  2. Click on Subscribe at the top.
  3. Find the network you are looking for (e.g., Legal Scholarship Network) then check to see if “University of Michigan at Ann Arbor” is a subscriber to that network.
  4. If you see “University of Michigan” in the list of subscribers, scroll back to the top of the list and click on the link “join an existing site.”
  5. Fill out the online form for the selected network.

Please be sure to sign up as part of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor site license, not as an individual. If you need help signing up, please contact Seth Quidachay-Swan at sethqs@umich.edu or (734) 764-6150.
