Search ProQuest Congressional for full-text hearings, from 1824-present.

Physical editions of Congressional hearings are available in various places in the Library. Find the appropriate cite using the various CIS indexes to unpublished U.S. House of Representatives committee hearings in the Reference Collection.

  • Prior to 1935 -- The U-M Library Catalog Search holds hearing texts 1833-1969, while the Law Library has scattered holdings.
    • Holdings are in fiche and print.
  • 1935-1969 -- The Law Library carries hearings from these years in print in the closed stacks.
  • 1970- -- The Law Library carries these in fiche.

HeinOnline U.S. Congressional Documents Library contains certain Congressional Hearing transcripts dating back to 1887.

For more guidance in searching for Legislative documents, consult the research guide to US Legislative Materials & Histories.
