Search the MLaw Library catalog for the subject "Study guides" to find legal supplements. If you're looking for study aids for a particular Law School class, check this guide that lists supplements for each course.

  • Commercial supplements like the Understanding Series and Examples & Explanations are stored in Closed Reserve, behind the Information Desk on Sub-1. Law students may check these items out for use in the Underground Library.
  • To find other course supplements in the catalog, search with the keyword "treatise" or "hornbook."
  • West Study Aids is an electronic resource available to MLaw students. The database includes over 500 titles from West, Foundation, and Gilbert publishers, including Hornbooks, Nutshells, Gilbert Law Summaries, Black Letter, and Law Stories. Note: West Study Aids are only available to students, faculty, and staff of the Law School.

Note: "Supplement" can also refer to the pocket part, which is a set of pages updating a legal volume. Pocket parts can be found with their corresponding book, usually tucked in the back cover.
