When logging into Westlaw, Michigan Law students and faculty may be asked for a ClientID. This is a feature geared toward practicing attorneys who often need to keep track of which searches were performed for particular clients. That way they can bill clients appropriately.

When using the Westlaw account provided by the Law Library, you do not need to put in any particular ClientID. For example, you can write in your name. Subsequently when you log in, the ClientID space will be auto-filled with your name.
