Law Library books can be returned to the Information Desk or any of the Law Library book drops (listed below).

Michigan Law students must return University Library (e.g., Grad or Shapiro) materials to one of the University Libraries.

Michigan Law faculty may return all books borrowed from the Law Library, other U-M libraries, or via ILL to the Law Library book drops, which are located in the following places:

  • 3rd Floor of Jeffries Hall (one on either end of the building)
  • 9th Floor of Legal Research (in the elevator lobby)
  • 3rd Floor of Legal Research (just inside the loading dock doors)
  • 3rd floor of Hutchins Hall near the Faculty Lounge
  • Room 200 of Hutchins Hall
  • Sub-2 and Sub-3 of the Underground Law Library
