Docket numbers are specific to the court, and usually you will need more information to locate a court decision.

  • Docket numbers for Supreme Court Decisions can be used to identify cases using the docket table in U.S. Law Week (Smith KF 175 .U58x). 
  • Lexis+, Westlaw, and PACER let you identify some decisions by docket number alone.
