U-M Law faculty, staff, Law students, research scholars, etc. locked out of offices and carrels can contact the Information Desk for assistance during business hours. Note that part-time Law Library staff cannot unlock doors for them.

If it is after hours (nights and weekends) please contact the security guard.

Journal students who are locked out of their offices need to contact someone on their journal to let them in. If they cannot find someone on the journal, they may contact DPSS. However, DPSS may not have keys to their journal offices, so they need to check when they call DPSS. Law Library staff cannot unlock journal offices or carrels for students.

If you are locked out of a classroom you have reserved after hours (nights and weekends), please see the Reading Room Desk. Otherwise please contact law facilities for assistance.
