The United States Supreme Court publishes Rules of the Court, which are local rules specific to practicing before the Supreme Court. SCOTUS Rules of Court are available several places:

The Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure are also promulgated by SCOTUS, but apply to all Federal Appellate Courts (including SCOTUS itself). The FRAP govern general procedural issues like time limits, pleadings, and grounds for appeal. The FRAP can be found in several places:

  • USCA (in the Appendix of Title 28)
  • USCS (in the Rules volumes)
  • Lexis Advance (Federal > USCS - Federal Rules Annotated)
  • Westlaw (Statutes & Court Rules > Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure)
