The Law Library collection contains both circulating items (i.e., books that can leave the Underground) and non-circulating items (i.e., items that must be used in-building). If you would like to use a non-circulating item in the Underground Library, here are the steps you can take.

To request an item from our Library:

  1. Find the book in the Law Library catalog; then use the "Request" button at the top of the catalog record for the book. You will be prompted to log in if you have not already done so.

  2. Once that book has been pulled by our staff, you will receive an email stating that it is ready for pick-up.

  3. The book will be on a Hold shelf at the Information Desk on Sub-1.

  4. It is also possible to request scans of portions of most of our books online using the "Request Scan" button also found in the catalog record. As long as it does not violate copyright, we will be able to assist in scanning.
